Rip City
Rip City Surf was born from the coast — and built for the culture.
On the surface, it connects to our coastal roots. Rip currents are strong, fast-moving waters common on the Gulf Coast — especially here in the Florida Panhandle. In fact, Panama City Beach has the highest number of rip current fatalities in the United States, with USA Today reporting more deaths here than anywhere else in the country.
We don’t take that lightly.
As a club rooted in this community, we’re committed to using our platform to raise awareness and save lives. That’s why we have partnered with the United States Lifesaving Association (USLA) to help educate others about beach safety and the dangers of rip currents. We want families to enjoy the place we call home — and do it safely.
In soccer, “rip” means taking the ball from an opponent — and that’s exactly how we like to play. We press with intensity, using high pressure and counter pressing to rip the ball back. Once we win it, we rip through defenders with speed and skill. And when we reach the goal, we let it rip — striking the ball with confidence, power, and precision.
“City” speaks to our culture. It’s not about one location — it’s about identity and unity across many. We bring together players from across the region — and give them one banner to stand under. It gives the club an inclusive, energetic, and modern feel. It represents a community, a culture, and a club built to bring people together.
The name represents who we are, where we’re from, and how we play.
From the Rip. Fear the City.
