REPORT CARDS

At Florida Roots Soccer School, we believe in providing comprehensive feedback to parents and players regarding their child's progress and development. To accomplish this, we have implemented player evaluation cards, or report cards, which serve as valuable tools for assessment. These report cards allow us to evaluate various aspects of a player's performance and provide detailed feedback on their progression within our school.

The report cards focus on four key areas: Technical, Tactical, Physical, and Psychological (Social/Emotional). Let's explore each of these areas and their significance in evaluating a player's growth:

Technical Evaluation: This section assesses the player's technique and skill mastery. We analyze their proficiency in fundamental skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control. By evaluating technical abilities, we gain insights into a player's technical strengths and areas for improvement. This assessment helps guide training plans and individualized instruction to enhance their technical capabilities.

Tactical Evaluation: The tactical evaluation focuses on the player's understanding of the principles of the game. We assess their ability to apply tactical knowledge both individually and as part of a team. This evaluation measures their awareness, decision-making, positioning, and ability to execute game strategies effectively. Understanding a player's tactical strengths and areas for growth enables us to tailor training sessions that enhance their game intelligence and contribute to their overall development.

Physical Evaluation: In the physical evaluation, we assess the player's physical abilities that impact their soccer performance. This includes elements such as speed, agility, strength, endurance, and coordination. By evaluating these physical attributes, we gain insights into a player's athletic capabilities and identify areas where further development or specific training may be beneficial.

Psychological (Social/Emotional) Evaluation: The psychological evaluation is an essential aspect of player development. This category assesses a player's mental and emotional capacities as they relate to successful growth and performance. We consider factors such as confidence, resilience, teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. Understanding a player's social and emotional well-being helps us provide the necessary support and guidance to foster positive development both on and off the field.

Through these comprehensive evaluations, our report cards offer valuable feedback to parents and players. They provide insights into a player's strengths, areas for improvement, and progress within our soccer school. This feedback enables parents, players, and our coaching staff to work together in a collaborative manner to support the player's development journey and strive for continuous improvement.
